New Xbox Experience coming November 19

According to the Tokyo Game Show' Microsoft's keynote, the 'NXE' is set to automagically show up on your 360 on November 19. This means get ready for some Avatars, Live Party, Netflix, Preloading Games, and a much improved UI. I for one can't wait. If you are still in the dark, there is nothing you can do to avoid the update, so I suggest you read 1UP's NXE Hands On and prepare for a totally new experience.

You all should know by now that the New Xbox Eperience (NXE) should be ready to roll out in a few short weeks. With next week's Live Planned Downtime on the 29th bearing down on us all, we know it is going to be sooner than later regarding the Xbox update. The good folks at Microsoft's Gamerscore Blog were nice enough to provide some details, screenshots, and an indepth look at how the new friends channel and themes will integrate into the NXE.

Don't be alarmed when Live goes down for 24 hours on Monday September 29th. It seems the new look and feel to the Xbox will be changing shortly thereafter. The new Xbox Experience is a software upgrade that will change the way you interact with the system. Should be fun. If you want more details on the New Xbox Experience or you need to check my sources, please check the semi-official Microsoft Xbox and Games Employee's Gamerscore Blog.

Duke Nukem 3D arrives, pixelized Babes Happy....

Time to break out those MS points on Wednesday Sept 24 for a trip on the way back machine. Duke Nuken 3D finally hits Xbox Live Arcade for 800 MS points. Not a bad deal, especially when you consider how badass Duke Nukem 3D was in 1996. Now that it gets on Live, it should be worth the download for SP and MP goodness. I'll be grabbing it as soon as it releases and plan on being the shittiest MP player the world has seen. "WHO WANTS SOME?"

If all goes well, I opened this site up to an EASHL '30somethings' NHL club so we can set up our schedules and rosters, etc. Then I can try to figure out what to do come renewal time. My guess is that everything will move along slowly, change the banner to something else, add some new paint, and go from there. I hope to get this site moving again, but who knows.

After all of that speculating from last week, we've discovered that no update is going to happen The fine folks over at Xbox have decided to buck the trend and not release a Spring 08 update In a recent interview with Marc Whitten, he mentioned that nothing major is expected other than the ugly DRM license issues plaguing many people with replacement 360sWe have taken a different approach this spring and spent a lot of our time and resources of building the proper infrastructure and scale f...

Spring has sprung, but still no Spring Update from the Live team on Xboxcom? Lucky for you, because the fine folks over on Kotaku have come across a supposed changelog for the Spring 08 Software Update to Xbox Consoles worldwide Who knows for sure what is true or false, just know that any real or fake news about the mysterious and very late 08 Update is good news in my mind If Microsoft follows the same schedule it did last year, the Spring system update for the Xbox 360 should be right ar...
